Enough stop fooling us legislators. The public's direct access to the government is through the legislators. The president is not the government, he only heads the government. I have heard many members of parliament addressing weaknesses in the government and suggesting that a change in the government is the only solution to ease the suffering of the people. How can such a statement come from a member of parliament and then continue seating and receiving salary, that is supposed to be a resignation speech.
There are legislators who have taken the easy routes of posing as opposition members of parliament, they have positioned themselves to benefit from the weakness of the government. They support every oppressive bill to be passed and shout loud when it comes to irrelevant issues. They keep silent when umeme signs an irrevocable contract that affects every resident in the country and fight over the age bill yet not all anticipate to be leaders. These honorable hypocrites should amend their ways. We are tired of these enemies of the state without any form of affection for our nation. They forfeit any voice of truth with lies. They distinguish themselves from the government yet have their names with the highest salary scale in public service. Stop fooling us honorable self fooled members. By making yourself occupied by non issues do you want us to believe that you are not aware of critical issues affecting our nation.
We know that the country is now producing more hydro energy than can be consume domestically yet the cost of energy is keeping on escalating. If you can not revoke the umeme contract why don't you consider merging Umeme with the power producers so as to eliminate the indirect power losses claimed by umeme to hike prices. The hiking of power tariffs is destroying more trees more than meta could ever try even if given Mabira 10 times. The demand for charcoal in urban areas is the reason for the prolonged dry seasons in the Country. The majority rural residents depend on pruned dry branches for cooking as opposed to urban settlers who depend on charcoal made from real healthy trees irrespective of shape. Charcoal which used to kept in our home as a precaution bought only a few times in a year has now become a daily necessity because cookers have been sold in scrap.
MPS YOU ARE THE GOVERNMENT NO MATTER WHAT PARTY YOU REPRESENT START DELIVERING. IF A CHANGE OF GOVERNMENT IS THE ONLY SOLUTION YOU MUST ALL RESIGN FIRST FOR FAILURE.
The duties of legislators start with presenting the needs of very people you represent before it comes to suggesting for the entire nation because you can get what you want for your constituency by fighting single handedly unlike national issues which require a quorum. How can you reject money assigned to survey the state of your constituency and even don't do it yet that is something you are supposed to do without any extra facilitation.
In a country where the majority of the people survive on agriculture, how can you Mr legislator whatever party you represent, allow agriculture to be among the least funded ministries in the national budget and then you also blame it on the government, just shut up out side the parliament if you let it happen inside. Of the money allocated to agriculture how much will you ensure reaches your constituency. Why don't you fight over relevant issues like those ones. And you legislators representing urban areas what have you done concerning the suffering of the people in your areas through multiple taxations. The majority of the people in urban locations are tenants, They pay trading license at their places of work and also property tax which is intended to be paid the land lords ends up on the same tenants. My rent at my place of work was increased by 100,000 shillings every month to cover a property tax which had accumulated for 13 years. There was no way for me out except to pay because the tax enforcers sealed up my shop until the arrears are settled. Because I work in an area represented by a so called opposition member of parliament, he regards that as a price to be paid for electing a wrong president.
We have seen the President very active in every part of the country, reaching even stooping down to hear the complaints of the lowest in the society yet these self fooled hypocrites all they do is to just raise their voices full of deception and envy to criticize every effort made by the president to help the people. I believe some of them must be involved in the sabotage that is crippling our economy.
Hiding behind the word democracy which they even don't understand they have misled the young generation. We can not substitute service delivery for democracy, Libya traded their better service provision for democracy and have suffered the greatest loss. Democracy is just a word, it does not exist even in the United states where the will of the majority was overturned by the minority.
The cost of power struggle is so high to bare by any nation, if there is any way to endure, choose otherwise.
